St. John's Stained Glass

Stained Glass

St. John church is proud of its stained glass windows. The window at left dominates the south wall of the sanctuary. It shows St. John on the left and Jesus, as the Good Shepherd, on the right. The window is composed of both opalescent and painted glass. Designed and built by German artists, it was shipped to New Athens and installed as part of the 1906 sanctuary.

Recently restored it, along with the other windows in our sanctuary, now shine with all of their old glory.
